AAW title match added to TNA Lockdown

Joe Alonzo is set to defend his AAW Championship at the upcoming TNA Lockdown.

On August 23, 2026, at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago at TNA Lockdown 2026, Alonzo will defend his AAW Championship against The Home Town Man.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced the match after appearing at AAW Unbreakable. Marella announced that AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo will defend the title against Home Town Man at TNA Lockdown on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He also claimed that if Alonzo manages to win the bout, he’ll earn himself a TNA contract.

“IT’S OFFICIAL! AAW vs. TNA at LOCKDOWN!” AAW’s social media page wrote. “AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo will be defending the AAW Heavyweight Championship against TNA Superstar The Home Town Man!” it further said.

With the AAW title match now official, TNA Lockdown currently has a stacked match card of 11 official bouts.
