WWE NXT wrestler reportedly receives new name
Marie Malenko has reportedly received a new ring name.
According to a report from False Finish on Sunday, the daughter of Dean Malenko will now wrestle under the name Kenzie. Malenko had been wrestling at NXT live events and in dark matches under the name Lacey Simon.
Prior to signing with WWE in March, the wrestler now known as Kenzie wrestled under the Marie Malenko name on two shows for Pro Wrestling NOAH and two for Marigold.
Malenko was officially announced as part of WWE’s rookie class in May, along with Mason Rook, Nicole Martinez, and Marcus Brown.
She made her WWE debut in a dark match at the May 26 NXT taping at the Performance Center, losing to Zena Sterling.
She has also wrestled Myka Lockwood, Vanta The Unknown, Kelani Jordan, and Gianna Capri so far in NXT.
Malenko‘s most recent match was at the August 7 NXT house show in Melbourne, Florida, where she lost to Kali Armstrong.
