AAA 8/15 Results: Dominik and El Grande brawl, Penta accepts Bronco Nima challenge, La Parka advances in WWE World Title tournament – POST Wrestling

Penta agreed to face Bronco Nima next week after rejecting an invitation to rejoin Perros del Mal on Saturday’s episode of AAA.

The closing confrontation followed an earlier appearance by the group, which offered Penta a place back in its ranks.

La Parka also advanced in the tournament to determine Roman Reigns’ challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship, while Rey Fenix retained the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

The show aired live from Coliseo Centenario in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano brawl

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio was attacked by El Grande Americano as he made his way through the building, beginning a fight that eventually reached ringside.

Americano sent Mysterio over the commentary table before continuing his attack in the ring. AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio came out to separate them.

Dominik took advantage of the intervention to strike Americano below the belt and later shoved his father during the confrontation.

Americano then took the microphone and said his issue with Dominik had grown beyond a personal rivalry. He accused the champion of taking from lucha libre rather than giving to it and said a true king would fight for his crown, his people and his country.

The two are scheduled to meet for Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania 34. Their rivalry escalated during Verano de Escándalo when Mysterio abandoned Americano during a tag match against Perros del Mal.

Rey Fenix vs. Noisy Boy

Noisy Boy challenged Rey Fenix for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship after his singles match against Jack Cartwheel the previous week.

The two opened at a fast pace before Fenix gained control with a dropkick, enzuigiri and top-rope attacks.

Noisy responded with a springboard cutter for a near fall. Fenix later hit the Fenix Driver, but the challenger again kicked out.

An attempted Mexican Muscle Buster was countered into a springboard poison rana. Noisy followed with a moonsault before attempting another from the top rope.

Fenix moved away from the second attempt and connected with a meteora. He then successfully hit the Mexican Muscle Buster for the pin to retain.

Penta joined his brother at the entrance following the match before heading to the ring for his own segment.

Perros del Mal invites Penta to return

Penta addressed his pursuit of Roman Reigns and said he intended to win the ongoing tournament and take the World Heavyweight Championship.

He contrasted himself with Reigns by saying the champion relies on a group around him, while Penta has fought for his achievements on his own.

Karmen Petrovic then appeared with Perros del Mal. Daga entered the ring and embraced Penta, reflecting on their shared history in the group.

Daga reminded Penta of his time with Perros del Mal and argued that he would need allies if he hoped to overcome Reigns. The group presented Penta with a Perros shirt and invited him to return.

Penta declined to give an immediate answer, saying he needed time to think. Daga gave him until the end of the show to decide.

Penta’s appearance had been foreshadowed during the first week of Verano de Escándalo, when Rey Mysterio announced that his August 15 return would be connected to Perros del Mal.

Psycho Clown vs. La Parka

La Parka advanced in the World Heavyweight Championship challenger tournament after Psycho Clown was attacked by the same unidentified masked man who targeted him during Verano de Escándalo.

Psycho and Parka exchanged control before the fight moved outside, where Parka hit a moonsault. Psycho answered inside the ring with a Code Red for two.

A dive from Psycho sent Parka into the timekeeper’s area. Parka later responded with a Spanish Fly from the ropes, but could not secure the fall.

Psycho hit a Mexican Destroyer before Parka dropkicked him into the corner. The turnbuckle pad came loose, drawing the referee’s attention, and the official was subsequently knocked down during the ensuing action.

Psycho hit the Psycho Driver with no referee available to count. The lights then went out.

When they returned, the masked man who attacked Psycho during the Latin American Championship qualifier at Verano de Escándalo was in the ring. He assaulted Psycho at ringside before returning him to the ring.

Parka, who had not seen the interference, hit the Bonebreaker as the referee recovered and counted the pin. He attempted to check on Psycho afterward as medical personnel came to ringside.

The victory sets up La Parka against Penta on Raw on August 24. Penta reached the semifinal by defeating Laredo Kid in the opening match of the tournament on Monday.

Penta accepts Bronco Nima’s challenge

Perros del Mal approached Penta backstage before the show ended and asked for his decision.

Penta said the Perros shirt represented an important part of his history and described Daga as being like a brother to him. However, he questioned whether every current member had earned the right to wear it, directing his attention toward Bronco Nima.

Nima stepped forward and challenged Penta to face him next week.

Under Nima’s proposal, a Penta victory would leave him free to make his own decision regarding Perros del Mal. If Nima wins, Penta must join the group, raise Nima’s hand and acknowledge his place in the family.

Penta accepted, and the two faced off to close the show.
