Phoenix Championship Wrestling has some of the best young talent, or should I say “Yung” talent, on the independent scene. Today’s guests are no exception as the duo of “Yung Money” consisting of Jaden Mornroe and RJ Wylde join the Wrestling Epicenter for an exclusive interview.

“Yung Money” have been around for a few years now and for the past calendar year, have chased the “Pretty City Express” of “CLAS” Christopher Landen Anthony Streeter and Devin Reno from show to show trying to capture the PCW Tag Team Championships. By hook or by crook, usually crook, the Express has excaped each time with the belts. At the most recent PCW Live on Broadway event, the Yung Money and the Express fought to a draw which resulted in the main event of PCW AZ Anniversary 8 being set. It will be Yung Money versus Pretty City Express, 2 out of 3 falls for the belts. Is it do or die for the youngsters? They think it is!

PCWAZ’s Anniversary 8 takes place on September 19, 2026 from Skyline High School in Mesa, Arizona. The event is dubbed the “Biggest Night in Phoenix Championship Wrestling History” and that is not hyperbole! YUNG MONEY:

On if their match at PCW Anniversary 8 will be their last opportunity to beat the Pretty City Express:
Jaden: “It is funny that you would say it is our last shot. I’d have to agree. If we don’t win, it would be our last shot for a while. We would have to go back and rebuild some things.”
RJ: “At Anniversary 7, we didn’t win. But, we did exactly what you just said, We went back and we rebuilt. And, we’re ready.”
Jaden: “Exactly. And, coming up in September, it will be 2 out of 3 falls. That’s never been done before in PCW, at least, not as far as I know. All of those factors are going to make this a very special night, for sure.”

On Pretty City Express managing to hold on to those tag titles for so long:
Jaden: “They’ve proven they have to cut corners to come away still champions.”
RJ: “But, two out of three falls. They’ve proven they can’t cleanly beat Yung Money… Let alone doing it twice in one night.”

On how they got interested in pro wrestling:
RJ: “For me, I was always watching even before I can remember. I always liked the smaller guys. For me, my personal GOAT will always be Rey Mysterio. Rey really is the one that gave me confidence to get into wrestling. Because, you know, I’m not the biggest guy. But, Rey Mysterio proved it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog.”
Jaden: “I like that! I always watched wrestling. But, I never thought I would do it and actually be a wrestler. It is pretty crazy that we are here right now. I played every singe sport growing up. I played soccer, baseball, football, wrestling… I played hockey in Arizona.”
James: Well, we used to have an NHL team.”
Jaden: “We don’t talk about that. (laughs) I made it to college playing football. But, it came to a point where I was like, “This isn’t what I want to do anymore.” But, I knew I could do something athletic. And, I always loved wrestling. And, my guy John Cena came back in 2021… That got me watching wrestling again. And, I was still in college at that point. But, that is what drew me back to it for sure.”

On how Yung Money became a tag team:
RJ: “Low key, it started out as a joke. Jaden got to the training center about six months before me. And, when I got in the ring and started to move around, people started to compare us. So, it started out as a joke. But, it also started to work. We started to get that tag team… What’s the word?”
Jaden: “Chemistry!”
JD: “Chemistry!”
Jaden: “We even finish each other’s sentences!”

On learning the ropes:
Jaden: “Like I said, I played football in college… Wrestling is definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done by far. But, with Dom (Vitalli), Jon (Wolfgang), Max… Max is kind of a secret.”
RJ: “Yeah. (laughs)”
Jaden: “Joe Graves, Gabriel Gallo… They have so much knowledge and they’re so willing to share that with us. And, when it comes down to it, I think they want to set a standard which I think is lacking these days. It seems nowadays, in other places, if you’re willing to pay $00 a month, you can get in the ring. So, the trainers have a willingness to share. But, they also set the bar and that bar is something everybody has to meet.”
RJ: “It’s the perfect storm! And, growing up, I played basketball. And, my basketball coaches, they were… I’m going to say nicer. But, what I mean is Dom Vitalli, Gabriel Gallo, and all of our trainers… They will not lie to you. They will not lie to you. If you are doing something wrong, they will tell you that it is wrong and then also tell you how you can fix it.”

On what their manager Money Mac brings to the table:
Jaden: “I feel like he’s the glue that keeps us together. RJ is a little more outspoken.”
RJ: “Yeah”
Jaden: “And I’m not as much. But, Mac is right in the middle. He’s always there to get us ready. He always knows what we need to hear. I know he’s out doing his own thing a little bit. He was in the Rumble. But, he’s the glue that keeps us together.”
RJ: “The energy that Yung Money gives off, Money Mac brings that out of us.”
Jaden: “Yeah!”

On Jaden recently appearing for AEW Collision against The Dogs:
Jaden: “I believe that was my second opportunity on AEW TV. I love getting a chance to work for AEW. There are so many creative people there and so many legends you can talk to and ask advice from. One guy that I ask questions of and he’s always great is Jerry Lynn. Jerry Lynn is a guy you can go to and ask literally anything. So, I use those opportunities to be a sponge and to soak up as much knowledge as I can backstage as opposed to just getting however much TV time I get. And, the connections I can make backstage are also what is most valuable to me.”

On the indy experience right now:
RJ: “The independent scene is really cool right now. It is really nice getting the chance to travel to places that I’ve never been to. Meet new people, get knowledge from people who have been doing it longer than us. And, like Jaden said, making connections with people.”
Jaden: “I feel like we’re definitely at an interesting point. There are definitely more wrestlers now than at any point, I would guess. And, the quality ranges from… Terrible, and then it gets really high depending on where you go. Like, Future Stars of Wrestling. We have learned so much working at FSW and working with guys like Chris Bey.”

On how Chris Bey is doing:
RJ: “He is the man!”
Jaden: “He’s throwing up 110 pound dumbbells at the gym like nothing ever even happened.”
RJ: “If I didn’t know, I would never be able to tell that he got hurt. He’s coming back strong!”

On their goals in pro wrestling:
Jaden: “Short term goals, I would like to see us get out to the East Coast and be seen more. I feel like getting out there and getting more knowledge would help us. And, as for as longer term goals, within about 5 years or so, I’d like to be signed somewhere and be able to make a living at wrestling.”
RJ: “Yeah. Even before we get signed, I would like to go to Japan. I would love to go to Mexico and I’d love to go to Canada as well. I would love to travel anywhere that I never thought I’d get the chance to go to before getting into wrestling.”

On PCW’s Heavyweight Champion “Jimmy House” CJ Valor getting a WWE ID contract:
RJ: “Seeing Jimmy get signed is really cool. Jimmy is a great guy and he is always helpful. But, seeing him get signed is cool because we are seeing someone from our camp get signed and that is motivation for us so we know it could happen for us too.”

On if they like being heels or babyfaces more:
Jaden: “I like doing either and whatever is called for. But, I do like being a babyface against the Pretty City Express.”
James: “It is difficult to cheer for CLAS and Devin.”
Jaden: “(laughs) Yeah, they are tools.”

On final thoughts heading into PCW Anniversary 8:
RJ: “People should get ready for the era of Yung Money because we’re not walking out of Anniversary without those tag team titles!”
