Brock Lesnar’s Final 6 Matches Before Retirement, Ranked & Reviewed

Brock Lesnar has officially announced his retirement from the professional wrestling business on the back of his big loss to Oba Femi in the main event of SummerSlam 2026 Saturday in his home of Minneapolis, Minnesota. When looking back across his final six matches since his 2025 WWE comeback before hanging up the boots for good, it is fair to say that there was a range of quality.

TheSportster’s rating system will assess Lesnar’s last matches in his final run between the ropes to determine the best of the bunch, the worst match across Lesnar’s last showings, and how everything else stacked up too. These ratings will be compared to those from Cagematch.net and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena (WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025)

Brock Lesnar’s first match in over two years saw him squash John Cena in a poor remake of their classic squash match from SummerSlam 2014. It was slow, poorly executed, and didn’t benefit either of those involved.

This was a waste upon Cena’s retirement tour, putting an old and tired Lesnar over in an awful match.

Brock Lesnar, The Vision & Drew McIntyre Vs. CM Punk, Cody Rhodes & The Bloodline (WWE Survivor Series 2025)

Brock Lesnar teamed up with The Vision & Drew McIntyre to take on The Bloodline, CM Punk & Cody Rhodes in a star-studded match that failed to live up to expectations. The action was slow and sloppy for much of the bout, Jey Uso ran back his entrance in one of the worst WarGames moments ever, and Lesnar’s involvement saw him not do much at all.

There were too many spammed finishers, a weird ending thanks to a masked intruder, and nothing that made this match stand out at all. It had some decent moments but it was mostly a poor showcase.

Men’s Royal Rumble Match (WWE Royal Rumble 2026)

At number 22, Brock Lesnar entered the Royal Rumble match, lasting only five minutes before being unceremoniously dumped out by Cody Rhodes & LA Knight in what was ultimately a pointless cameo. The whole match itself lacked much energy with a largely disinterested audience who only popped for the biggest stars, plus a lack of big moments, surprises, or storytelling.

There were some decent points such as Oba Femi’s dominance, Bron Breakker’s shocking elimination, and a good back-and-forth between winner Roman Reigns and runner-up Gunther, but for the most part it was a basic and underwhelming Rumble match.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Oba Femi (WWE SummerSlam 2026 Saturday)

Brock Lesnar’s final match came against Oba Femi, completing their trilogy in a Hell In A Cell showdown that carried with it a big fight feel. It wasn’t the most brutal or entertaining Cell match ever, but it served its purpose of making Femi look strong, putting him over in a match that had a good atmosphere.

There were some standout moments such as Lesnar hitting a Tombstone Piledriver on the exposed wooden boards of the ring, but it was ultimately Femi’s dominance that shrugged off anything Lesnar threw his way, winning the match in the process.

In what many deemed as an unneeded rematch, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi competed in a fine fight at Clash In Italy 2026. Femi & Lesnar managed to craft a strong atmosphere in their showdown, with the pair hitting each other with their best in front of a stunning Italian crowd who elevated the entire thing.

Lesnar took a cheap shot to take control of Femi, showing signs of desperation as he tried to find a way to put down his opponent. Femi looked strong as he kicked out of almost everything Lesnar hit him with, but ultimately the pre-match attack was too much to handle for the young star, succumbing to Lesnar’s offense.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Oba Femi (WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday)

Oba Femi went from a rising name to a defined star at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, colliding with Brock Lesnar in a near perfect match for these two names. With a hot atmosphere, Lesnar & Femi collided in a very fun sprint which lasted just under five minutes, fitting in a lot in order to make Femi look like an absolute beast as he fended off Lesnar and decimated him.

Everything from the entrance to the match to the post-match “retirement” from Lesnar made this a very strong match.
