NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling: Zack Sabre Jr. Captures IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Setting Historic Wrestle Kingdom Main Event

In a milestone triumph that reshapes the international professional wrestling landscape, British technical prodigy Zack Sabre Jr. has captured the prestigious IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, forcing Tetsuya Naito to submit in the main event of King of Pro-Wrestling inside Tokyo's iconic Ryogoku Sumo Hall.

A 20-Year Journey to Strong Style Immortality

Zack Sabre Jr.'s coronation represents the culmination of a two-decade pilgrimage dedicated to technical submission excellence. From the humble British independent circuit to the sacred dojos of Japan, Sabre has blended European catch-as-catch-can grappling with hard-hitting Japanese Strong Style.

Throughout the grueling 30-minute title battle against Naito, Sabre systematically dismantled the champion's right knee and shoulder, utilizing an inescapable modified Zack Driver into a hyper-extended armbar that left Naito no choice but to tap out before 9,000 roaring fans.

The Road to Wrestle Kingdom 19 in Tokyo Dome

Sabre’s historic title reign establishes a landmark main event for Wrestle Kingdom 19 inside the Tokyo Dome on January 4th. With New Japan president Hiroshi Tanahashi actively steering the promotion toward global streaming expansion and multi-promotional cooperation with AEW, Sabre stands as the premier international face of Japanese wrestling.
