It’s Do or Die Time For LA Knight (September 21, 2026)

You have been warned!WWE has spent the past several weeks setting up this year’s Money in the Bank with the newest Superstars, all angling to get an opportunity to capture the biggest prize in wrestling. On tonight’s Monday Night Raw, we find out which Superstars will get their shot at the top of the mountain with additional qualifying matches.

Bayley, returning triumphantly to Raw after a few weeks away, takes on the biggest current threat to her, Lyra Valkyria. LA Knight and Penta will both appear to discuss last week’s events with Roman Reigns, and we find out what’s next for Penta, and Bron Breakker takes on Je’Von Evans in singles action.

Here Are Your Key Moments From WWE Monday Night Raw For September 21, 2026

• Penta opens the show, a week after an incredible main event with Roman Reigns in Mexico City. He calls last week the biggest night of his life. In front of his family, friends, and country, he competed against Roman Reigns, but he tells him it’s not over. He tells Reigns he wants another shot at the championship as soon as possible. Dominik Mysterio appears to confront Penta, and tells him no one cares about his hopes and dreams. JD McDonagh tells him he had his shot and lost, and that he doesn’t get to skip the line in front of Dominik. Mysterio tells Penta that he’s the King of the Luchadores, and Penta tells him that his father, Rey, is the true king. The two attack Penta until he mounts an offense and clears the ring.
• Jacob Fatu is backstage with The Usos talking about their issues with Royce Keys and 946. Jacob says they need to stay consistent, and while they discuss, Solo Sikoa appears and tells the trio that 946 won’t stop until they destroy them all. Sikoa tells them they need to stick together as a team. Jey asks Sikoa if he’s going to join the Bloodline and that, if he is, he needs to do two things before that: acknowledge them as Captains and acknowledge Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief. Sikoa declines and says he needs to go back to the drawing board. Before The Usos can continue, Jacob tells them they made a huge mistake by not taking Sikoa up on his offer.
• LA Knight comes to the ring to address Roman Reigns. He tells him it’s been three years of clawing, climbing, and getting back up, combined with everyone keeping him out of the conversation. He says Reigns always wants to be acknowledged, but he acknowledges that Reigns beat Penta alone last week and acknowledges his greatness. Knight says Reigns might be the greatest champion of this generation and one of the best ever. He says he hears the fans telling him they want him as champion, but he knows they’re doubting whether he can win. He knows he’s come up short so much, he’s not even sure he can beat him. He says he’s noticed over and over that he’s beaten everyone without the Bloodline, and that Reigns has never been man enough to beat him one on one. Knight says Reigns is right that he is the champion that matters, and he’s never needed anyone to beat anyone.
• Prior to his inclusion in the Money in the Bank qualifying match, Solo Sikoa was attacked by 946 and thrown into their SUV before the Bloodline could reach him. Due to him being out of action, Adam Pearce added a new Superstar in the triple threat match to replace him: Penta.

Are They Finally Going To Put LA Knight Over And Give Him The Belt? We Hope So, But Time Will Tell.

With a week’s worth of surprise championship changes across the brands of WWE, it seemed more than plausible that Penta may have beaten Roman Reigns on last week’s Monday Night Raw, much to the chagrin of LA Knight fans everywhere. But when Penta failed to put away the Tribal Chief, Knight confronted Reigns and their showdown at Money in the Bank was set, which now begs the question: Are they finally going to give LA Knight a WWE Championship?

There’s a bit of a double-edged sword here with this predicament, and there are two possible scenarios. One sees Reigns drop the title to Knight and giving him the payoff that’s eluded him for so many years in his company, and the other sees Knight losing, again, to Reigns, in another championship loss, effectively stamping out any possible air left for him to attain the top spot. Fans could effectively give up hope for Knight to ever win the big one and, at the risk of sounding too terminally online, could truly hurt his standing in WWE and with the fans.

It’s a long overdue conclusion to give LA Knight a WWE Championship, and after the loss to Reigns during his Tribal Chief era and the multiple losses before for the Big Gold Belt 2.0, we’re past the point of no return for him to win the big one, especially after seeing him sustain his love for as long as he has. WWE could quickly pivot back to a Reigns title hold after a short Knight win, but there shouldn’t be any more waiting if they want Knight to remain this close to the top.
