Heather by Elegance vs. Elayna Black

The Personal Concierge introduced Heather as “the only lady in this building” because, to him, there are no ladies or gentlemen in Brampton.

This was an alright match. Heather worked over Black’s arm after an armbreaker. She locked in an Octopus Hold, but Black reversed it into a Samoan Drop. Later, Heather hit an Eat Defeat on Black’s left arm and took her down with a head scissors. However, Black avoided a double stomp and won with the Blackout.

Ryan not sitting back

Gia Miller was backstage with Ryan Nemeth, who said he was a victim of a heinous attack, but luckily, Nic Nemeth is an “amazing detective” and concluded that Matt Hardy was the mystery attacker. Ryan played dumb when Miller pointed out that Hardy had denied the claim, and Ryan outright said he would show up during the no-DQ TNA Title match.

Surprise for Hotch

Daria Rae met with Jason Hotch backstage, asking if he was ready. Hotch didn’t know what she was talking about, but Rae revealed that Mustafa Ali set up a match for Hotch against Special Agent 0, and there will be a special guest referee. Mila Moore then came up to Hotch to reveal she would ref the match.

Fight for the crown

Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles were in the ring for The King’s Speech. The crowd briefly chanted for Styles, which was his only involvement in the segment. Kazarian said tonight was a coronation after he beat Moose at Lockdown and left as the face of the franchise. He pulled out a crown and stated that he’d be coronating himself as the king. He noted that this was not a handout that Canadians love so much. “Free health care? What a bunch of marks?” He said he earned this for being so good for so long and will wear the crown, standing alone as the only king of TNA.

Moose came out and made fun of Kaz’s crown, joking that he bought it at Dollarama, which got a big pop from the crowd. “That’s got to be the dumbest chant of the year,” Kazarian quipped. Moose pointed out that Kazarian didn’t actually pin or submit him and only won the Escape the Cage match because he made a mistake. Moose made fun of the crown again and said that when he sees that crown, he thinks, “Bitch,” which the crowd chanted at Kaz.

Kazarian responded, saying that he’s too cool for Moose to get under his skin, and he knew Moose was just politicking for another match. They went back and forth, as Moose kept trying to goad Kaz into giving him a rematch. Kazarian eventually agreed, but only if Moose put his TNA career on the line. Moose agreed, and they traded barbs ahead of next week.

Gnomes for gold

Miller met with Gabby Forza backstage as she was preparing for her match. Forza admitted that she thought she’d be nervous, but she’s pumped up because she was going after the gold of all gold: The TNA Knockouts Championship. She also thought she’d have to bulldoze through the other Knockouts, but she got lucky because of Daria Rae, who put her at the front of the line. She ended by saying she would do it for the Gnomes because Gnomes love gold.

TNA X-Division Championship Qualifying Match: Fabian Aichner vs. Rohit Raju

This was a solid match that had a Raju promo during his entrance and KC Navarro on commentary. Raju had an early advantage after slamming Aichner into the steel steps, but Aichner used his power to hold off Raju. Aichner cut off Raju in the corner and knocked him down with a lariat. He won with Hasta La Vista (a Liger Bomb).

Zoey calls her shot

There was a Zoey Serrano sit-down video promo, where she talked about how she felt safe watching pro wrestling while moving from place to place. There was a montage of Serrano as a fan, including a picture with her and Adam Copeland, and her time at Future Stars Wrestling. She talked about how her injury halted her progress, and she had to think about where it went all wrong for her. She said it was because she wasn’t staying true to herself, but all of that has changed now that she is in TNA. She doesn’t have to shake her ass or care about a 15-second viral video. She will show she is the best in the business and become the face of the Knockouts Division. “That is the purest mentality.”

Jason Hotch vs. Special Agent 0

This match started during the commercial break when Special Agent 0 attacked Hotch from behind during his entrance, and Moore started the match. The odds were stacked against Hotch throughout, with Moore not counting Hotch’s pins and trying to fast-count Special Agent 0’s pins. She also ignored the action when Special Agent 0 had Hotch on the ropes but not when it was vice versa.

Hotch hit a flurry of strikes, a bulldog, and a top-rope splash, but Moore was looking at her nails when Hotch had the pin. Tasha Steelz had enough and attacked Moore, taking off her referee’s shirt. Steelz put on the shirt, and when Hotch rolled up Special Agent 0, Steelz fast-counted to give Hotch the win.

Slater pep talk

Leon Slater met with Matt Hardy backstage and informed him that he would still challenge whoever won tonight at Bound for Glory. Hardy understood and looked forward to the potential matchup, and Slater told Hardy that when Ryan Nemeth got involved, he would have his back. Hotch then ran into Slater, thanking him and hoping that they both would win gold at BFG.

X-Division Championship: Xia Brookside (c) vs. Gabby Forza

This was a nice showing for Forza. She used her power to overwhelm the champion and got a nearfall after a gorilla press that transitioned into a spinning Samoan Drop. Forza hit multiple running lariats in opposite corners. Brookside cut off Forza in the corner, but Forza caught the champion off the corner and hit an Okla-Gnoma-Stampede, followed by a Vader Bomb, but Brookside had her foot up. Brookside went outside and tried to walk away with the title until Indi Hartwell confronted her. Daria Rae was behind her, and while the referee tried to get them to leave, Brookside dragged Forza’s arm through the ropes and hit her with the belt to retain.

Kiera two belts

Kiera Hogan and Allie were backstage, and Hogan told Allie that since she pinned M by Elegance, she would be the first challenger for her Knockouts Television Championship. Allie was happy for her, as Hogan was excited about the thought of being double champion.

Elijah challenges The System

Elijah was in the ring, but before he could get into his song about The System, Alisha Edwards interrupted. Eddie Edwards warned Elijah about getting into The System’s business. Elijah said he would keep on walking no matter how many times they bring him down. Edwards reminded him that they are the gatekeepers of TNA, and they have a list, a hit list, of people who don’t belong in the locker room. Ricky Sosa is at the top, and he warned Elijah that his name will be next to Sosa’s. Elijah told him to sign him up, and Sosa ran in with a mic as The System stood on the apron. Sosa challenged them to a tag match next week.

Matt’s voices

Matt Hardy went into a room, reflecting on recent events, and Willow showed up next to him. Matt told Willow that he was prepared and motivated to avenge his brother by punishing Nic Nemeth. Willow suggested that this all might be a ploy by the Nemeths, who might have taken each other out. They said this match could be risky, but Matt responded, saying that’s what life is all about.

It was later shown that Leon Slater was mysteriously taken out and laid on top of a forklift, implying he might not be able to help Matt counter Ryan.

Rich Swann vs. Vincent

Swann went right after Vincent in revenge for BDE, whose whereabouts remain unknown. After taking out Dutch, Swann inadvertently took out the referee, and Vincent dropped Swann on his head but couldn’t do anything about it. He called someone over, and a stern BDE dressed in all white walked toward the ring and confronted a shocked Swann. It looked like BDE was in The Righteous’ control, but he surprised Vincent with a cutter, and Swann won with the Phoenix Splash.

TNA Championship (no DQ): Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Matt Hardy

Matt didn’t waste any time and sent Nic outside. He threw Nic all around, leveraged a table on the side of the ring, and suplexed Nic through it.

After an ad break, Nic superplexed Matt in the ring and countered a Twist of Fate by sending Matt face-first into a chair in the corner. He hit a Famasser for a nearfall. Both men teased a table spot in the corner, and Matt baited Nic into the corner, running into the table, but it didn’t break. Matt whipped Nic into the table, breaking it.

Matt wrapped a chair around Nic’s neck and hit a Twist of Fate. Before the ref had his hand down for three, Ryan pulled him out. Matt dealt with him, giving him a Twist of Fate, and he hit another one on Nic, who put his foot on the rope, which apparently still counted even though this was a no DQ match.

Matt hit an elbow drop on Ryan through a table on the outside. Nic caught Matt with a low blow, but he managed to kick out at two. Nic went under the ring to grab a wrench, but Matt caught him with a low blow and rolled him up in a small package pin, but Nic barely kicked out at two. Nic hit Matt with a wrench to retain the title.
