How Two Nights Saved WWE’s Worst Faction

Wrestling fans love a good heel faction. It’s exciting to watch a group of bad guys dominate the competition, often leading to one solo babyface taking them down. The likes of the Four Horsemen, the nWo, DX, Judgment Day, and the Bloodline have all perfected the format over the decades. When the Vision debuted on Raw, they were supposed to be the next faction of villains to take over WWE. It didn’t work out. Various injuries and horrible booking ruined the Vision, leaving fans wishing that the group would disband before its members were harmed beyond repair. Instead, WWE dug in, and with one episode of Sunday Night’s Main Event and Raw, the faction is now living up to its full potential.

Better Booking for Bron Breakker Was the First Step To Fixing the Vision

Just a few short weeks ago, the Vision was dead in the water. When they were first created as the brainchild of Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins, the sky was the limit. When Bron Breakker turned on Rollins and shifted the group in a new direction, it felt like Breakker was on the cusp of main event stardom. But then came the injuries. Rollins, Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul have all missed significant time, making it impossible for the group to gain any traction. In the past month, the focus has been mostly on Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri, with Breakker playing second fiddle in a tag team.

That all changed after SummerSlam. As Oba Femi spoke about how he was taking his place at the top, and Paul Heyman showed him respect, Bron Breakker finally snapped out of his funk and fought back. Many hoped this would mean a singles run, with Breakker leaving the Vision behind. Instead, WWE chose to fix the group rather than disband them. Breakker began showing fire as he stood up to Femi. That simple tweak fixed Breakker’s character and put him on the same level as the Ruler.

Sunday Night’s Main Event Made the Group a Bigger Threat With Bronson Reed’s Return

Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker didn’t main event Sunday Night’s Main Event this past weekend, but it was the most anticpated match because these two superstars signal something fresh. They are the future faces of WWE for the next decade plus. So how would their showdown conclude? As so often happens in WWE these days, we got a run in and not a clean finish. We’ll forgive it this time, because that interference came from a returning Bronson Reed.

For the Vision to change, they needed a big shake up. Austin Theory can only do so much and Logan Paul is hurt. So enter Bronson Reed. Now slimmed down and jacked to the gills, the monster has been unleashed as a violent, physical force who can take down anyone. He did just that by demolishing Femi at Sunday Night’s Main Event, giving the faction a stellar 1-2 punch. This takes some of the pressure off of Theory, and allows Paul to heal rather than force himself to come back too soon. If WWE continues to book Bronson in this way, he’s going straight to the top.

The Takedown of Oba Femi on Raw Showed How Strong the Vision Is Now

• Working with the Vision gives Oba Femi something fun to do before he inevitably feuds with Roman Reigns.
• There is also a hook with Paul Heyman’s mystery caller.

Every heel faction needs a top babyface opposing them. The Four Horsemen had Dusty Rhodes. The nWo had Sting. DX had “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock. The Bloodline had Cody Rhodes. In any work of fiction, an antagonist is only as good as the protagonist. The Vision can’t be taken seriously if those opposing them are midcarders who are immediately crushed. In 2026, there is no superstar better to counter a faction than Oba Femi. It felt like the late 90s all over again when the Vision were in the middle of beating down Otis and Akira Tozawa on Raw, only for a backstage camera to show a pissed off Femi marching toward the ring. The crowd pop was reminiscent of Austin or Goldberg getting ready to kick some ass. If WWE does it right, the Ruler can fight against the Vision for weeks to come.

Oba Femi needs this just as much as Bron Breakker. It’s pretty obvious that Femi is going to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43, where he will take down the OTC and win his first world title. Until then, he needs something to do. WWE can’t run in place with Femi and take him for granted. They must build him up as a force to be reckoned with, not as an indestructible man, but one who can be beaten down only to rise up and destroy his foes.

There is a lot WWE can do with the Vision and Oba Femi. Now, the sky truly is the limit. Throw in the drama with Paul Heyman and the mystery caller and Raw has a hook to get fans to come back every week. The Vision are now becoming WWE’s top faction. Just imagine what will happen when they encounter the Bloodline.
