Spoilers For AEW Collision’s September 5 Episode

Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa AEW Dynamite Steel Cage

On the back of a massive All In: London 2026 PPV, AEW headed to Allen, Texas for a live edition of AEW Dynamite and a taped episode of AEW Collision. After Dynamite set the stage for what will be another big PPV in All Out 2026, with the announcement of Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title, an AEW Tag Team Championship ladder match between Cage & Cope, FTR & Young Bucks, plus the start of a feud between new AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Mone vs. Thekla, the promotion sought to further even more stories on Collision. Spoilers and results for the upcoming edition of AEW Collision on Saturday, September 5, 2026, come courtesy of PWInsider.

Britt Baker & Thunder Rosa Meet Again

  • Baker & Rosa are two of AEW’s oldest rivals.
  • Their match was the first women’s main event in AEW Dynamite history.
  • On AEW Collision, Baker & Rosa will cross paths.

On the AEW All In: London 2026 buy-in, Britt Baker made her shocking return to AEW for the first time in over a year. After controversies, absences, and rumors of an exit, Baker is back, and her first stop was to cost Maya World the TBS Championship, handing Persephone the belt on a silver platter. The two have sparked up a partnership on AEW programming, leading them to AEW Collision’s September 5 edition where Persephone defends her title for the very first time against VertVixen. Persephone retained the gold, leading to a post-match attack from both she and Baker.

Maya World and Thunder Rosa came down to the ring to fend off the heels, with Rosa’s inclusion being particularly interesting. Rosa & Baker are iconic rivals in AEW, making history with their Lights Out match on Dynamite back in 2020. Over the years they have reportedly had some backstage heat, but it looks as though they are set to work with one another once again in this rivalry. Rosa has had issues with Persephone too, so a tag team match involving these four looks to be inevitable after Collision.

Chris Jericho’s Feud With Nick Wayne Kicks Off

  • On Dynamite, Nick Wayne & Chris Jericho met backstage.
  • Wayne picks up a win on AEW Collision this week.
  • Jericho & Wayne are set for a full-blown feud.

In a backstage interview on AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho reflected on the Casino Gauntlet match at All In: London 2026, making note that it was Nick Wayne who was pinned by Andrade El Idolo to lose the contest. Wayne took umbrage with these remarks, hinting that bad blood was set to ensue. On the September 5 episode of AEW Collision, that is exactly what happens.

Nick Wayne defeated Komander on AEW Collision, leading to Jericho entering the ring after the bell, raising the young competitor’s hand… before dishing out a Judas Effect to lay him out. This looks to be Jericho’s next big feud after wrapping up his previous program with Tommaso Ciampa back at AEW Redemption 2026, and it is a direction that could lead Wayne to one of the biggest storylines of his entire career thus far.
