Netflix Reportedly Behind Heavy WWE Raw Censorship Wrestling News Source – Latest WWE, AEW, Pro Wrestling News, AEW All In: London 2026 Results

Netflix was reportedly behind the heavy censorship that left parts of the August 31 episode of WWE RAW looking very different from what fans saw at the taping.

According to False Finish, WWE was required to make changes to the taped episode because RAW streams on Netflix across several countries with restrictions on graphic content.

That meant blood was not simply toned down. It was covered by huge pixelated blocks during several violent backstage attacks.

Netflix’s restrictions also hit the language used on the show.

During the opening segment, Jacob Fatu shouted:

“Motherf*cker!”

His microphone had already been cut during the taping, while the Netflix broadcast shortened the moment and bleeped the profanity.

Things became even more noticeable during the parking lot attack involving Royce Keys, OTM and The Usos.

Unedited footage from the taping showed the bloody aftermath of the attack. However, when RAW streamed on Netflix, the blood visible inside the building was heavily pixelated.

The same thing happened later when Solo Sikoa was attacked backstage, with blood once again blurred from viewers.

With censorship appearing across multiple segments, it became clear this was not a one-off production decision.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque then gave fans another option by posting uncensored footage from the show on social media, allowing viewers to see what had been hidden during the Netflix broadcast.

The result was a noticeably cleaner version of RAW than the one fans inside the arena witnessed.

Blood was blurred, profanity was bleeped and parts of segments were shortened, taking some of the edge away from what WWE had originally filmed.

A source indicated to False Finish that Netflix made the decision to censor last night’s episode of #WWERAW with the graphic content due to restrictions in several countries where the show is broadcasted.
