Big E reacts to New Level debut at AEW All In

Once upon a time, there were three best friends. Then one of the friends had step out of the spotlight, and the other two had to find a new place to work. But through it all, friendship prevailed.

When the New Level made their AEW debut at All In on Sunday, their former partner was conspicuous by his absence. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t watching or celebrating his former partners’ success.

Big E started his Monday with some vagueposting, sharing a somewhat cryptic image on his Instagram page. The cartoon showed a sign reading “Look how far you’ve come” with a track of footsteps left on the ground. 

“Take a second today to recognize your own progress,” E wrote alongside the artwork (which he credited to Jonathan Davenport). “You’ve made it farther than you think.”

A number of E’s followers left comments connecting the image to the New Level, and E responded in specific and concrete terms. E’s replies included:

• “If you’re two living legends that are undervalued, sometimes you have to go to London!”
• “I’m immensely happy for [the New Level]. Two of the best men to ever grace this industry.”
• “I have been so immeasurably blessed. Last night was about those two men and their perseverance and dedication to their craft. Not a bittersweet moment. A truly sweet moment.”
• When asked if he would be watching the New Level’s journey: “Those are my brothers! Absolutely!”

Big E teamed with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as the New Day in WWE from 2014 until he suffered a career-ending neck injury in 2022. As he moved into a commentary role, his former partners continued as a tag team until they left the promotion earlier this year. 

Using the names Kofi and Austin Creed, they debuted with AEW at All In at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday as the world’s least mysterious mystery team, uniting with Swerve Strickland to win the AEW Trios Championships in a trios roulette royale.
