Vetter’s Independent Wrestling Roundup: Elayna Black vs. Sirena Linton vs. Gabby Forza vs. Harley Hudson in a four-way, Hazuki vs. Dani Mo

There is far more good indy wrestling out there than I can watch. So, in this review, I’m popping in on multiple recent indy shows and watching just a few matches from each show that interest me. The reality is that I wasn’t going to get to watch every match from every one of these shows! I picked out matches with top names we’ve seen on TV, some top indy names, and WWE ID prospects.

* In this roundup, I picked out seven matches from across five different recent indy shows.

TNA Xplosion, taped in Philadelphia, Pennylvania, on August 21, 2026 (free on YouTube)

I rarely tune in to Xplosion. I have little interest in watching Home Town Man, who seemingly appears in this match regularly. But this match caught my eye. Tom Hannifan and Gia Miller provided commentary.

Sirena Linton vs. Gabby Forza vs. Harley Hudson vs. Elayna Black in a four-way. I’ve seen former WWE LFG wrestler Linton compete twice in recent months. I love that TNA is “letting Gabby be Gabby” and not tweaking her gimmick. Gia said Elayna is “coming back to her roots,” trying to explain a babyface turn for Black that isn’t evident when watching her wrestle. Gabby immediately hit a bodyslam on Sirena. Harley hit some buttbumps in the corner on Elayna, then a suplex for a nearfall at 1:30.

Gabby knocked Harley down with a shoulder tackle. Elayna hit a basement dropkick on a seated Gabby for a nearfall, then a springboard huracanrana. Gabby hit a delayed vertical suplex on Elayna for a nearfall. Sirena hit a crossbody block off the ropes onto both of them. Sirena got back in and stomped on Elayna and hit a basement dropkick into the corner.

Gabby hit a Bulldog Powerslam on Linton, then a Gorilla Press! Harley jumped on Gabby’s back and locked in a sleeper at 4:00. Sirena hit a Bronco Buster on Harley. Suddenly, all four were down. They all got to their knees and traded blows. Gabby hit a Samoan Drop-and-fallaway slam combo. Harley hit a stunner on Gabby. Elayna hit a senton. She shouted, “Welcome to TNA,” as she hit a double-underhook spinning neckbreaker on Sirena and pinned her. Fast-paced offense.

Elayna Black defeated Sirena Linton, Gabby Forza, and Harley Hudson in a four-way at 6:07.

Razor Pro Wrestling “Brewery Brawl Bonanza” at Rendezvous Junction Brewing in Rogers, Arkansas, on May 30, 2026 (free on YouTube)

This show was just uploaded Tuesday. Razor Pro announced a few weeks ago that they were shutting down (I think they only ran a half-dozen shows) but vowed to continue to place their final events on their YouTube channel. NJPW commentator (and Oklahoma native) Walker Stewart provided commentary, which always brings the level of the show to another level. I checked out two matches late in the show.

* This was an afternoon, outdoor show, but the ring was under a canopy. Perhaps 250 fans are watching. The sky indicates some ugly weather is coming!

“Bustah & The Brain” Alec Price and Jordan Oliver vs. “Hot Headz” Austin Aerial and Gavin Ash vs. “Surf and Turf” Braddah Kaimi and Phil Shark vs. “The Revolution” Anthony Lopes and Quest Parker in a four-way tag match. I’ve seen Shark, Ash, and Kaimi in the Texas scene. The Revolution are regulars from St. Louis-based Glory Pro Wrestling, so the only guy I’m unfamiliar with here is Austin Aerial. All eight shook hands, but then Phil (wearing his shark head) bit Jordan’s hand on the handshake! All eight brawled.

Braddah (doing a clueless surfer gimmick) and teammate Shark were pushed into each other. Price and Oliver hit stereo leg drops. Aerial is white, clearly young, with thick curly hair. Aerial and Ash traded blows with The Revolution. Phil hit a huracanrana at 3:00. Surf and Turf hit stereo standing moonsaults for nearfalls. Ash and Aerial hit leaping Flatliners on them. Price and Oliver jumped in and hit stereo clotheslines. Ash jumped in and chopped Oliver and Price (they might have shared a ring in GCW). Alec hit a facebuster over his knee on Ash at 5:30.

Bustah & The Brain went for their team Styles Clash, but Gavin escaped. The Revolution hit stereo kicks on Gavin. Aerial went for a move off the ropes, but Jordan caught him with a dropkick. Price hit a clothesline. Braddah threw Shark at Oliver at 7:30. Ash and Aerial hit stereo dropkicks. Braddah hit a flying leg lariat on Aerial. Phil missed a top-rope Shooting Shark Press. Aerial hit a DVD on Shark for a nearfall at 9:30. Price and Oliver hit stereo German Suplexes, but Ash and Aerial hit German Suplexes on them!

The Revolution hit stereo dives to the floor. In the ring, Quest hit a Lethal Injection, and Lopes hit a German Suplex on Braddah. Quest hit a top-rope Doomsday fadeaway stunner on Braddah for a believable nearfall at 11:00. The Revolution removed Phil’s shark head, and they were booed. Jordan hit a second-rope falcon arrow on Quest, and Price hit a springboard frog splash. Alec hit a dive over the top rope to the floor onto several guys. Back in the ring, Bustah and the Brain hit their team Styles Clash on Gavin for the pin. A non-stop sprint.

Laynie Luck vs. Veronica Haven vs. Steph De Lander vs. Lilith Khan vs. Cassandra Golden in a five-way. A reminder that Haven has since changed her name to Veronica West after leaving the WWE ID program (since this match took place). I don’t think I’ve seen Khan or Golden before. Cassandra doesn’t have a cagematch.net bio yet; she is a young Black woman and similar to Charity King. Haven wore her fallen angel wings. Khan is 6’0″, wears a full-body red-and-black outfit, and looks a bit scary. Steph came out last, told the crowd it’s her first time to Arkansas, and “I hate it here!” She made fun of the other four in the ring. She can’t wait to end this match to get back to “sunny Orlando.”

Veronica is 5’2″, and the other four surrounded her, making her look tiny! Golden has to be quite close to the height of Khan and De Lander! SDL hit a chop block on Khan’s knee, and several women dumped Lilith to the floor. Haven hit a top-rope crossbody block on the other three. Haven hit a swinging neckbreaker at 1:30. She tried a shoulder block on Lilith but just bounced off her. (Lilith has the size and demeanor of Nia Jax!) Golden splashed Khan in the corner. Lilith hit a double suplex. Steph dropped Laynie with a Mafia Kick at 3:00.

Steph hit a sliding back elbow on a seated Golden for a nearfall, then a snap suplex. We suddenly lost commentary! It came back a minute later, as Golden hit a clothesline on Steph. Golden hit a spinebuster on Haven for a nearfall at 5:30. Lilith and Laynie fought on the ropes in the corner, and it became a Tower of Doom spot, and everyone was down. Steph cut Haven in half with a spear. Lilith dropped Luck with a headbutt. Haven hit her flying Lungblower to Lilith’s chest, then a Code Red for a nearfall. Khan chokeslammed Golden for a nearfall at 8:30. Laynie hit a stunner, then a Shining Wizard, to pin Khan. Fun action. The two new faces are clearly rookies, but have great size.

Laynie Luck defeated Veronica Haven, Steph De Lander, Lilith Khan, and Cassandra Golden in a five-way at 9:08.

Enjoy Wrestling “Best For Business” at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 11, 2026 (free on YouTube)

This theater was packed, including some fans seated on the stage, with maybe 300 in attendance. Veda Scott and Rich Bocchini provided commentary. Some Japanese female talents have been touring the United States and are on this show!

Ranna Yagami vs. Emersyn Jayne. Standing switches and a feeling-out process early on. Ranna hit a stiff kick to Emersyn’s spine, then another, for a nearfall at 2:00. UK star Jayne took control and hit a snap suplex for a nearfall. She shoved her fingers into Yagami’s mouth and pulled on her teeth! She hit a dropkick on Ranna’s knee while it was on the ropes and got a nearfall at 4:30. Ranna fired back with a dropkick and a running knee. She hit a flying kick in the corner, then a running Penalty Kick to the chest for a nearfall at 6:30. Ranna switched to a cross-armbreaker, but Jayne got her feet on the ropes.

Jayne hit a top-rope missile dropkick for a nearfall. She hit an enzuigiri and a German Suplex for a nearfall at 8:30, and they were both down. They got up and traded forearm strikes. Ranna hit a flying roundhouse kick across the chest for a nearfall, and she tied up an arm on the mat. Jayne trapped both arms, rolled her over, and got a believable nearfall. Emersyn hit a sidewalk slam for a nearfall at 10:00. She missed a top-rope moonsault. Ranna immediately hit a running knee, then a buzzsaw kick to the side of the head for the pin! That was a blast.

Ranna Yagami defeated Emersyn Jayne at 11:07.

Hazuki vs. Dani Mo. A clean lockup and standing switches to open. Hazuki tied a leg lock around the neck, but Dani fought free and hit a running Penalty Kick to the chest at 1:30. Dani hit a Vader Bomb for a nearfall. Hazuki hit a huracanrana and a second-rope missile dropkick at 3:00. Hazuki tied her in a crossface on the mat, but Dani got to the ropes at 4:30. They got up and traded forearm strikes, and these were STIFF and loud!

Hazuki hit a dropkick, then a running kick to the side of the head at 6:00, then a DDT onto the ring apron. Hazuki locked in an Octopus Stretch and dropped to the mat. Mo finally got a toe on the ropes at 7:30. Dani hit an enzuigiri in the corner and a Death Valley Driver for a nearfall. Dani hit some clotheslines and got a rollup at 9:00. She hit a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall. Hazuki hit a German Suplex and a kick to the side of the head for a nearfall. Hazuki hit a top-rope senton splash for the pin. Really good action.

Hazuki defeated Dani Mo at 10:06.

Apple City Championwhip Wrestling at the Brookford Town Hall in Hickory, North Carolina, on August 15, 2026 (IWTV)

This is a dark auditorium. The ring is lit okay, but certainly not ideal. I’ve checked out a few matches from their last few shows here. (I’ve noted this before; I am hearing one commentator in my left ear and the other commentator in my right.)

Landon Hale vs. James Johnson for the Catawba Valley Title. Real-life chiropractor Hale just made his ROH TV debut this week in a six-man tag, with his squad losing to the Dark Order. I don’t think I’ve seen Johnson before; he has a scruffy, long beard that is turning gray, and looks a bit like Brodie Lee. They immediately fought to the mat and traded reversals. Hale hit a huracanrana then a dropkick at 2:00. He hit a flying back elbow in the corner.

Johnson hit some loud chops and slowed Landon down in a headlock. He hit an Irish Whip and got a nearfall at 4:30. He hit a pump kick for a nearfall. Landon hit an enzuigiri and a Lethal Injection, then a second-rope moonsault for a nearfall at 7:00. Johnson hit a senton, then a diving forearm strike to the side of the head for a nearfall. Johnson hit a spin kick to the side of the head for a nearfall at 9:00, and we got a “This is awesome!” chant. Hale hit a roundhouse kick to the side of the head, then a snake-eyes into the middle turnbuckle. Hale did a 619 leg sweep, then his Athena-style top-rope flying stunner for the pin! Solid action.

Landon Hale defeated James Johnson to retain the Catawba Valley Title at 11:13. 

Dynamic Wrestling Association “Fire In Brimstone” at the Brimstone restaurant in Alpharetta, Georgia, on July 5, 2026 (IWTV)

Although this is now close to two months old, it was just released this week on IWTV. I’ve now seen several matches from this small tavern/restaurant. The ceiling is low, and the ring is maybe just 18 inches tall.

Corinne Joy vs. Sam Axl for the DWA Women’s Title. Joy is set to debut soon in MLW, and the NWA just announced she will participate in a tag match on their show this weekend. My first time seeing the slender Axl; her short blonde hair ends at her shoulders, and she ‘barked’ at the crowd. She wore camouflage pants and a plain white top. I see she doesn’t have a cagematch.net bio yet. Corinne is a babyface here, and she got a nice crowd pop. They shook hands and locked up. Corinne is 5’2″, so Sam is maybe 5’6″.

They immediately traded rollups. Corinne shouted, “You’re a scrappy little doggy,” and Sam barked again. Sam hit an armdrag and a huracanrana for a nearfall at 2:00. Corinne hit a spin kick to the head, then a running knee as Sam was against the ropes, and Axl fell to the floor. They brawled at ringside, and Sam shoved Sam’s head into a pillar. In the ring, Sam hit a Lungblower to the chest for a nearfall at 4:00. Corinne hit a German Suplex, and they were both down.

They traded forearm strikes. Sam hit a spin kick for a nearfall. Corinne hit a superkick, then a Samoan Drop for a nearfall. She hit the “Diva Down” piledriver for the pin. Fairly basic; Corinne walked a clearly new opponent through a solid match. They celebrated together, but then Corinne attacked her from behind, beat her up a bit, and hit another Diva Down piledriver, and the crowd booed her.

Corinne Joy defeated Sam Axl at 6:32. 

Final Thoughts: Since the Enjoy Wrestling show was free, check out those two matches with the Japanese talents. Likewise, there was some really fun action on the Razorback show, and it’s sad and disappointing that they folded as quickly as they launched. As always, I wish I had time to watch all four shows in their entirety (the TNA match isn’t a full show), but I had to pick and choose what interested me the most.
