TNA Lockdown 2026 notes: New champions crowned, match set for Thursday
Three new champions were crowned at TNA Lockdown.
Leon Slater gets to keep his legacy in the company after winning the X Division title from Cedric Alexander at Lockdown on Sunday. Meanwhile, Mustafa Ali regained the International title from Jason Hotch, and in the main event Nic & Ryan Nemeth defeated The Hardys to win the TNA Tag Team titles.
The finish to the main event of Sunday’s show saw the Hardys focus on Ryan Nemeth, sending him through a table. However Nic used this to his advantage, scoring the win after connecting with the danger zone/zig zag.
After the match, the brothers celebrated in the ring. However, Leon Slater interrupted the proceedings, carrying his new X Division title he won earlier in the night against Cedric Alexander. He said at Bound for Glory, he was going to exercise option C and defeat Nemeth for the TNA World title. The brothers went in on the attack, but Slater laid them both out to end the show.
Mustafa Ali sinks lower
Mustafa Ali, meanwhile, won the International title back from Jason Hotch. The match’s high point was Hotch climbing to the top of the cage and jumping off, sending him into Ali below as both crashed through a table on the outside. The spot led to Hotch bleeding from the mouth, struggling to regain momentum. TNA medical staff tried to help Hotch to the back, but Ali recovered and honed in on Hotch’s family, taking a stuffed toy from his daughter. Once he lit the toy on fire, Hotch rushed back to the ring to continue the match.
Hotch managed to retrieve the toy, but Ali used it to his advantage, laying out Hotch with a 450 splash. When Hotch refused to let go of his daughter’s toy, Ali hit another splash and covered him for the win.
Later in the night, it was announced that Hotch will be wrestling on this coming Thursday’s show on AMC, teaming with Trey Miguel to take on Ali and Agent Zero.
