Title match, number one contender matches, El Carnicero debut announced for Ola de Calor

A number one contender gauntlet match has been announced for AAA Ola de Calor.

AAA Ola de Calor is just a few days away and will take place on August 30, 2026 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.

During the August 22, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox, a backstage segment featured Reina de Reinas champion Lady Flammer and La Hiedra with GM Rey Mysterio.

As the segment continued, Mysterio announced a number-one contender gauntlet match for Flammer’s Reina de Reinas title. Flammer claimed that she would not like to take part in AAA Triplemania 34 because of her status as a champion for 1000 days. However, Mysterio suggested hosting a number one contender gauntlet at AAA Ola de Calor. The winner of the gauntlet match would then face Flammer at Triplemania 34.

In addition to this, Los Americanos (Rayo & Bravo) defeated Money Machine (Colmillo De Plata & Garra De Oro), LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), and Psycho Circus (Murder Clown & Dave the Clown) on the August 22 episode of AAA on Fox. With the win over the three tag teams, Los Americanos crowned themselves the number one contender for the AAA World Tag Team Champions. Rayo and Bravo Americano will now face The War Raiders for the tag team titles at AAA Ola de Calor.

In the same August 22 episode, GM Rey Mysterio announced during a media scrum that with Omos suspended, Damian Priest got automatically qualified for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship. While the title match was initially scheduled for Triplemania 34, Mysterio shared that the match will now take place at Ola de Calor. At the August 30 Ola de Calor, AAA will host El Fiscal vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Damian Priest vs. La Parka for the vacant AAA Latin American title.

Toward the closing moments of the August 22 episode, Penta also challenged Perros del Mal to a six-man tag team match at Ola de Calor, which Rey Mysterio soon confirmed. Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Fenix will take on three participants of the Perros del Mal. Also, after weeks of attacking Psycho Clown, El Carnicero is set to make his debut at AAA Ola de Calor.
