AJ Styles provides update after speaking with Chelsea Green at WWE Performance Center

WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles has the latest update on Chelsea Green.

Just days after winning the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2026, Chelsea Green suffered an orbital bone injury that put her title reign in jeopardy.

Styles recently offered an update on her, though it’s not certain if she’ll relinquish her title. Speaking on the AJ Styles Show, the Hall of Famer claimed that he spoke with her at the WWE Performance Center. Following the conversation, Styles was made aware that WWE was planning to put a mask on her.

“They’re going to throw a mask on her, I’m sure of it. I actually did get to see her. I think she came down to the trainers. I believe she lives in Florida, so I saw her at the trainers at the Performance Center, and she’s doing okay. She’s not mad about the situation. It is what it is. She said she’s got some bad luck,” he shared.

“To me, when I see someone get hurt and they go, ‘Nope, we’re still doing this,’ to me, it makes them a bigger babyface. Becky Lynch became a super-duper star because she got punched in the face. I believe it broke her nose. I could be wrong about this. She became a bigger star because of that. Like, she became a star because of it, because that picture of her all bloodied up going, ‘Come on.’ You know, like, ‘Oh my gosh, that was so freaking awesome.’ I remember seeing it and going, ‘Wow, that’s a star.’”

Green’s recent promo on WWE SmackDown with Nick Aldis and Gunther also received immense praise from fans and the industry.
