Former WWE performer and TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy recently addressed the ongoing teased feud of Oba Femi vs Bron Breakker, suggesting that it would be a mistake to turn Oba heel for a storyline at this point in time.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy explained why he believes Femi should remain a babyface going forward:

“I mean, I think he’s too over. I think people like him, especially with this character…he’s this monster. Just to point out the obvious, just [him] being black, and being so popular, I think it’s very good to have a character like that be a big baby face and represent your company. I wouldn’t [change] him as a baby face right now.”

Oba Femi heel turn?

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal recently suggested that the company should turn Femi heel, saying: “Turn Oba Femi heel. Just like Brock Lesnar was when he was when he debuted, have him destroy everybody and let the crowd naturally turn him babyface. Put him with Paul Heyman.”

Whether WWE decides to pull the trigger on an Oba Femi heel turn remains to be seen, but they have certainly been teasing something with Paul Heyman over the last few weeks following Brock Lesnar’s retirement at SummerSlam.
