Lexis King pays tribute to AEW’s Rebel on WWE NXT
Lexis King paid tribute to AEW’s Rebel on Tuesday’s edition of WWE NXT.
King wrestled Lucien Price on this week’s show from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. During his entrance with Birthright, King held up a wristband honoring Rebel and then wore it throughout the match. Although the full message is difficult to make out, the wristband includes the word “Rebel” and a heart.
King later responded to a social media post pointing out the wristband, writing, “Thank you for catching this, we love you @RebelTanea ”
Lexis King comments on Avery Styles situation
King, the son of the late Brian Pillman, also commented recently on the controversy involving AJ Styles’ son, Avery, and GCW.
Independent wrestler Arik Cannon had criticized Avery for not helping with setup at a recent GCW show. Cody Rhodes responded to Cannon on Tuesday, noting that Avery’s father had been paying dues and making sacrifices throughout Avery’s childhood.
“To simplify…he already set up the fn’ chairs,” Rhodes wrote.
Later, King posted an image featuring Avery and several other second-generation wrestlers.
King captioned the photo, “We already setup the f’n chairs…”
