CM Punk, Cody Rhodes segment and more added to WWE SmackDown lineup
WWE has made several additions to the lineup for Friday’s SmackDown.
Friday’s show will be the go-home edition of SmackDown before the two-night SummerSlam event this weekend. It will be held at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
A WWE.com preview for Friday’s episode released on Thursday advertises WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes coming face-to-face before SummerSlam.
The WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line as Damian Priest and R-Truth defend against Erik and Ivar of The War Raiders.
The final WWE Interim Women’s Championship ladder match qualifier for SummerSlam will see Giulia face Lash Legend.
According to a report from WrestleTix on Thursday, the show could be more sparsely attended than typical WWE events. Just 4,343 tickets have been distributed for the show.
